How do I change permissions or resend an Email Delivery invitation?

Easily resend Email Delivery invitations or change permissions like download and redistribute. Fix common invite issues fast.

When delivering content with Email Delivery, you may need to resend invitations or adjust permissions for your recipients. Here’s how.


Resend Invitations

  • Email Delivery invitations expire after 30 days if not accepted.

  • To resend:

    1. Open the video or presentation.

    2. Go to the Access tab.

    3. Select one or more recipients and choose Resend Delivery from the Actions menu.

  • Tip: If you select all recipients, only those who have not yet accepted the delivery will receive a new invitation.

  • If a delivery is marked as Received but the recipient says they cannot view the content, contact MediaZilla Support.


Manage Permissions

You control what recipients can do once they’ve accepted their Email Delivery:

  • Can view (default) – Always on.

  • Can download – Allows downloads from the recipient’s account.

  • Can deliver to others – Allows the recipient to re-deliver via Email Delivery.

Change permissions (step-by-step)

  1. Open the video or presentation.

  2. Go to the Access tab.

  3. Check the box next to one or more recipients (use the top checkbox to select all, if needed).

  4. In Actions, choose Change Permissions.

  5. In the dialog, toggle Can download and/or Can deliver to others as needed.

  6. Click Apply Changes to save.

Notes

  • Changes take effect immediately.

  • If you need different permissions for different groups, send in separate batches or repeat the steps above for each group.

How permissions interact with Share Links

These Email Delivery permissions are independent of Share Link settings:

  • If Can download is OFF for Email Delivery but the Share Link is Public/Password Protected and “Allow Downloads” is ON, recipients can still download from the Share Link page.

  • Recipients will see a Share icon in their account (and can copy the Share Link) if the Share Link is Public or Password Protected.


Troubleshooting Invitations

  • Check for typos: Even small mistakes in an email address will block delivery.

  • Review invitation status: In the Access tab, hover over the status for timestamps:

    • Queued = waiting to send.

    • Sent = email delivered.

    • Received = recipient accepted and added it to their account.

    • Error = problem sending.

  • Resend if needed using the steps above.
