How can I share or distribute content that was sent to me?

Learn how to share MediaZilla videos via Share Links or Email Delivery, depending on creator permissions and privacy settings.

Updated this week

The content creator controls whether or not you can share or distribute their videos or presentations. What you can do depends on the privacy settings chosen by the creator.

Sharing With a Link

  • If the creator has made the content Public or Password Protected, you’ll see a Share icon when viewing it (upper-right of the description box, just below the video or presentation).

  • Click the Share icon to copy the Share Link. Anyone with this link can view the content in a web browser without creating a MediaZilla account.

  • If you don’t see the Share icon, then the creator has kept the content Private, and a Share Link is not available.

Sharing With Email Delivery

If the content is set to Private, the only way to share it with others is through Email Delivery—and only if the creator has given you permission to do so.

When you have permission, you’ll see a Deliver icon below the video or presentation title. Email Delivery has several benefits:

  • Viewers receive their own free MediaZilla account with lifetime access.

  • Content is viewable on all devices, including through the free MediaZilla apps.

  • You can choose whether recipients can view only or view + download (if the creator has also granted you download rights).

How to Send an Email Delivery

  1. Open the video or presentation you want to deliver.

  2. Click the Deliver icon. (If you don’t see it, you don’t have permission to deliver.)

  3. Enter up to 500 email addresses (separated by commas or spaces).

  4. Add an optional personalized message.

  5. Choose permissions: Can View or Can Download + Can View.

    • If you want different groups to have different permissions, send the deliveries in separate batches.

  6. Click Send. Each recipient will receive an invitation email to claim the content.
