When a viewer opens a presentation that contains paid add-ons, they can browse and purchase them directly inside the presentation. This makes it simple to unlock additional content without leaving the experience. (This flow is the same whether the viewer arrived via a Paywall Link, Share Link, or Email Delivery.)
1. Viewing the Presentation
When the viewer enters the presentation, all paid add-ons appear as locked buttons in the menu. These buttons are visible, but the content cannot be accessed until purchased.
2. Opening the Add-ons Screen
Clicking any locked button takes the viewer to the Add-ons screen, where they see:
A list of all available add-ons for that presentation
The title, description, and price for each add-on
The total price of the selected add-ons
A poster frame or preview video for the selected add-on
3. Previewing Add-ons
If a preview video is provided, it autoplays when the add-on is selected.
If no preview is set, the add-on’s poster frame is displayed instead.
This helps the viewer understand what they’re purchasing.
4. Purchasing an Add-on
The viewer can select one or more add-ons to buy.
The total price of the selected items is calculated and displayed on the Add-ons screen before checkout.
Clicking Checkout takes the viewer to a secure Stripe checkout page where they:
Enter their payment information
Complete the transaction in the configured currency
5. Instant Unlock & Access
Once the purchase is successful:
The viewer is immediately returned to the presentation
The purchased add-on is unlocked and available to watch or access
If the add-on uses a placeholder video (unfinished content), the description should clearly state the delivery timeline (e.g., “Available within 2 weeks of purchase”)
6. Access Across Devices
Purchased add-ons are tied to the viewer’s free MediaZilla account. They can access their purchases on any device where they’re signed in (including the MediaZilla app).
