When you enable a Paywall, MediaZilla generates a purchase page for your video or presentation. This page is where customers buy or rent access and begin their viewing experience.
Step 1 — Paywall Page
When a customer visits a Paywall link, they see:
Title of the video or presentation
Your company branding (from your company profile)
Content duration
Maximum resolution (SD/HD/4K, HDR if available)
Full image background (set in the Poster Frame settings)
Description
Buy and, if you offer rentals, Rent buttons with prices in your selected currency. The Rent button states its terms, for example "Rent: start within 30 days, then 48 hours to finish."
Preview video (Optional)
💡 Adding a strong description and preview video can significantly improve conversions.
Step 2 — Checkout
When customers click Buy or Rent, they’re taken to a secure checkout page showing:
The title of the content
The price, and for a rental, its terms
A form for payment details
Accepted Payment Methods
Cards: Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover & Diners, JCB, China UnionPay
Wallets: Apple Pay, Google Pay, WeChat Pay, Alipay (China), GrabPay (Malaysia, Singapore)
Step 3 — Payment Confirmation
After payment, a confirmation page shows the purchase and points the customer to My Library, where they'll find it.
Step 4 — Confirmation Email
The confirmation email:
Uses your configured Email Delivery design. The subject defaults to “Thanks for your order!”, or “Thanks for your rental!” for a rental, unless you customize it.
Contains a View Now button linking to the purchased content.
If a customer buys several items in one checkout, they get one email, “Your order from [your company]”, with an Add to my library button that adds everything at once.

Step 5 — Accessing Content
If the buyer already has a MediaZilla account, the content is added to their library.
If they don’t, they’ll be prompted to set a password for their new free account.
Bought and rented content can be watched on the web or in the MediaZilla apps (sign-in required). Rentals play until the rental period ends.
During a rental, viewers see Buy beside Play if they'd like to keep the content permanently.
