By default, files are automatically uploaded to the nearest region of the user who initiates the upload. This results in the fastest upload performance each time.

However, the playback experience improves when the viewer is closer to the region where the video is uploaded. If you have users uploading from another part of the world, but that the content will primarily be played back in a different region, you may want to lock the upload region to where the content will primarily be viewed.

The admin can manually choose an upload region for all users of the company in the company preferences. Navigate to your Company Settings and select 'Preferences'.

Specify the upload region if your viewers are closer to a different region than the one you are uploading from.

This setting is not retroactive, and will only impact files uploaded going forward.
