MediaZilla’s Paywall feature makes it easy to collect presales before your content is ready to release. This is ideal for event videos (weddings, dance recitals, theater performances, etc.) where you want to start generating sales ahead of time.

Requirements
A connected and Active Stripe account (set up in your Company Integrations or directly from the Monetize settings).
A published presentation to host your presale.
No video content is required to start presales — the presentation only needs a title, description, and a poster frame/background to look professional.
Steps to Collect Presales
Create a Presentation
Title it clearly (e.g., “Dance Show Presale”) and add a description so customers understand what they’re purchasing.
You do not need to add any videos at this stage.
Add Branding Assets
Poster Frame (for Paywall page): Upload an image that best represents your upcoming content. This is displayed on the Paywall page and helps sell your presale.
Presentation Background (image or video): Upload a background that customers will see inside the presentation after they purchase, even before content is added.
Publish the Presentation
Publishing makes the presentation live, even without final videos attached.
Enable the Paywall
Go to the Monetize settings, connect Stripe if you haven’t already, and enable the paywall for the presentation.
Optional: Add a Preview Video
Upload a short video (such as a teaser, highlights reel, or behind the scenes footage ) and set it as the preview in the Paywall settings.
Distribute the Paywall Link or QR Code
Use the Paywall URL and QR code provided in the Paywall settings.
The QR code can be printed on posters, programs, tickets, or flyers at the event to drive presales.
Release the Final Video
When your content is ready, add the video(s) to the presentation menu and publish the changes.
Customers who already purchased will immediately see the new video in their MediaZilla library.
Notify Your Customers
Let presale buyers know that the video is now available to view in their account.
Pro Tip
For event videos, distributing the QR code at the event itself is one of the most effective ways to maximize presales.
