What is the purchase experience for content I sell on MediaZilla?

When you enable monetization in the settings of a video or presentation, we provide you with a link to a paywall page from which the content can be purchased.

This paywall page provides your customers with the following information:

  • Title of the video or presentation

  • Your company name (set in your company profile)

  • Content duration

  • Max resolution of the content (SD/HD/4K) and if it is HDR

  • Description

  • Purchase price in the currency you selected

  • Poster frame (set in the poster frame tab for videos, or set as the main menu background for presentations)

When viewers click the “Buy” button, it takes them to a checkout page indicating the video they are purchasing and its price. It also prompts the user to enter their payment details.

The following payment methods are accepted during checkout:

  • Cards

    • Visa

    • Mastercard

    • American Express

    • Discover & Diners

    • Japan Credit Bureau (JCB)

    • China UnionPay (CUP)

  • Wallets

    • Apple Pay

    • Google Pay

    • WeChat Pay

    • Alipay (customers in China only)

    • GrabPay (customers in Malaysia, Singapore only)

Once their payment is entered and successfully charged, they will see a page indicating the payment was successful and that they will receive an email with instructions to access their purchase.

The purchase confirmation email they receive is the same email as the one from the “Privately Deliver” tab of the video or presentation. It will have the same design and message that you have configured in the private deliver settings, except with the subject “Thanks for your order!” unless you have entered a custom subject.

To customize the design of the email being sent upon a successful purchase through the paywall page, simply navigate to the “Privately Deliver” tab in the video or presentation, and select “Edit Design”.

The email will have a link to “View Now”. If the customer already has a MediaZilla account, and they are signed into it, the link will automatically launch the video from their dashboard. If they do not yet have a MediaZilla account, they will be instructed to enter a password for their new account and after doing so, the video will launch.

Customers will always have access to the content they purchased by signing into their account on the MediaZilla website or via the MediaZilla app.
