When you share a MediaZilla Share Link on social platforms like Facebook, LinkedIn, or X (Twitter), the title, description, and poster frame may appear in the preview.
Updating the Title, Description, and Poster Frame
Open the content by clicking its thumbnail in your dashboard.
Click directly on the title or description fields to edit them.
Change the poster frame: In the left side panel, click the Poster Frame icon.
Upload an image to use as the poster frame.
For standalone videos, you can choose a frame from the video instead of uploading.
For presentations, you must Publish the project after making changes for updates to take effect on the Share Link.
Why don’t updates always show on Facebook or other platforms?
Social platforms often cache the original preview data (poster frame, title, description) the first time a URL is posted. This means if you’ve updated your content’s metadata later, the preview may still show the old information.
Refreshing the Preview on Facebook
If you’ve already posted the Share Link and updated its title, description, or poster frame, you may need to tell Facebook to refresh its cache:
Go to Facebook’s Debugger Tool.
Enter your Share Link URL into the field.
Click Debug, then select Scrape Again.
This forces Facebook to pull the updated metadata and display the new title, description, or poster frame in the preview.
