Using the Analytics page

See how viewers watch everything in your account in one place: headline figures, trends, what needs attention, and lists of content, videos and viewers.

The Analytics page shows how viewers are watching everything in your account, so you don't have to open each presentation or video to find out.

Open it

Click Analytics in the left menu. Admins and Managers see it. Contributors don't.

Pick a date range at the top: Last 7 Days, Last 30 Days, Last 90 Days, Last 12 Months, This Year or All Time. The page starts on Last 30 Days and remembers what you choose. The As of time shows when the figures were last updated.

The headline figures on your Dashboard open this page too. For example, click Total Plays to see your content sorted by plays, or Unique Viewers to see your viewers.

Headline figures

  • Plays: playback starts, counted once per viewing session. The line below shows unique plays.

  • Viewers: the number of different people who viewed your content. The line below shows total views.

  • Engagement: how much of your videos viewers watched, counting each second once per viewer.

  • Downloaders: people who started at least one download. The line below shows total downloads.

Each figure is compared with the previous period of the same length, for example the 30 days before. All Time has no comparison.

Trends and sources

  • Activity over time charts plays, viewers, engagement or downloaders by date, with the previous period for comparison.

  • Plays by source shows which sites your plays came from: an embed, a link on another site, MediaZilla or the MediaZilla apps.

  • Viewers by access splits viewers by how they got your content: through My Library (sent or bought) or a Share Link.

  • Plays by device and Top viewing locations show what people watched on and roughly where they were.

Needs Attention

When something needs you, Needs Attention appears under the figures. It can show content you delivered that was never opened, content whose engagement dropped sharply, and recipients who haven't watched yet. Click an item to open the matching list.

Content, Videos and Viewers

Content lists your most-viewed presentations and videos, with viewers, plays, engagement and last activity. Filter by whether there was activity, content type, where plays came from or how viewers got access. Click View Analytics to open that item's own analytics.

Videos lists each video wherever it was played, on its own or inside presentations. A video used in more than one presentation opens a summary of where it played.

Viewers lists everyone who watched your content, plus recipients who haven't watched yet. It's part of Premium Analytics. Filter by status (Watched, Opened, not watched or Not yet viewed), viewer type, source or whether they downloaded.

Click View Activity to see everything a person opened and watched, and which content they were sent but haven't opened. For someone who hasn't opened anything, the button says View Recipient.

You see names and emails only for people you sent content to directly. Others show as a Redistributed viewer or an Anonymous viewer.

Export to CSV

Each tab has Export CSV. The export follows your date range, filters and search. It takes a moment to prepare, then downloads, and you can keep working meanwhile.

If nothing shows

  • Preparing your analytics means the figures are being calculated. It usually takes less than a minute, and you can leave the page while it finishes.

  • No one has access to your content yet means you haven't delivered anything or created a Share Link.

  • No one has opened your content yet means people have it but nobody has opened it. Click View Recipients to see who.

  • No activity in this period means nothing happened in the date range you picked. Click View All Time.
