How does renting work?

For viewers: when a rental starts, how long it lasts, and what you can do during it.

Some creators let you rent their content instead of buying it. A rental costs less and gives you a limited time to watch.

Two time limits

Before you pay, the button tells you both limits, for example "Rent: start within 30 days, then 48 hours to finish."

  • Time to start. After renting, you have this many days to press play for the first time.

  • Time to finish. The clock starts when you first press play. You can watch as many times as you like until it runs out.

The creator sets both limits, so they vary from one rental to another.

Where to find your rental

After you pay, the rental appears in My Library with a Rented label. Watch it on mediazilla.com or in the MediaZilla apps, signed in with the same account.

Buying instead

If the creator also sells the content, you'll see a Buy button beside Play during your rental. Buying gives you permanent access.

When the rental ends

The content stays listed in My Library, but it won't play. If the creator still offers rentals, you'll see Rent again.

What a rental doesn't include

  • Downloads. Only buyers can download, and only if the creator allows it.

  • Paid add-ons. To buy an add-on, buy the presentation first.
