Recommended File Format

We support all the most common video formats including Apple ProRes.

For the fastest processing of your uploads and the most efficient use of your quota, we recommend encoding to the H.264 or H.265 codec in the MP4 file format.

For a complete list of supported file formats, please refer to the following Help Center article:

Important: Always be sure your output resolution has even values for width and height. Many codecs do not support odd resolution values and the results could be undesirable.

Recommended Frame Rate

To avoid potential stuttering issues during playback, you should edit and export your video in the same frame rate it was filmed.

Recommended Bitrate

The recommended video bitrate will depend on the resolution of your video:

  • Standard Definition 480p - 3,500 kbps

  • High Definition 720p - 7,500 kbps

  • High Definition 1080p - 15,000 kbps

  • 4K - 35,000 kbps

Audio should be encoded in the AAC-LC format at 320 kbps with a sample rate of 48 kHz or less.
