Deleting or replacing videos does not reduce your upload quota usage. Every upload counts in full, even if the earlier version is removed.
Why Every Upload Counts
Quota is based on uploads/encoding, not storage. MediaZilla includes unlimited storage on all plans.
When you upload a file, MediaZilla immediately analyzes and encodes it into multiple streaming formats. That processing is what consumes your quota.
Deleting a video doesn’t return upload quota because the processing already happened.
Replacing a video is treated as a new upload; the replacement file must be processed again, so it also consumes upload quota.
Client Revisions & Best Practices (Save Quota on Drafts)
If you expect multiple client revisions, upload drafts at a lighter setting and replace only once at the end:
Export draft versions in HEVC (H.265) at 3–4 Mbps in 720p or 1080p.
After final approval, use Replace Video to swap in the high-quality master (no need to resend links).
