How do I change the background of a menu?
Updated over a week ago
  1. Navigate to the menu page you want to change in the presentation editor.

  2. Click the "Design" tab in the left panel and go to the Background section.

  3. You can choose a frame from any video in your account by clicking 'Choose Frame', or 'Upload' an image as the background. A versatile abstract image is provided as the default. When uploading images, we recommend jpg, png, or gif format and a resolution of 1920x1080 or larger. If no image is set, a solid color will be used.

Choose a Frame

To grab a frame for use as the background image:

  1. Select 'Choose Frame' in the Background section to launch the Choose a Frame screen.

  2. Select any video in your account on the left. Use the search at the top to find content quickly.

  3. Scrub through the video on the right until you find the frame you want.

  4. Click 'Use Current Frame' at the bottom to capture the current frame and use it as the menu background.

You will be returned to the Presentation Editor and the background image will update shortly.

Focal Point

The focal point is a feature that will ensure a specific area of the image is always in view, regardless of the size or aspect of the viewer's screen. For example, a wide image will be cropped on the sides when viewed on a mobile device in portrait orientation. Specifying the focal point ensures the main subject in your image is not cropped out of view.

In the example below, the focal point is set on the left building which will keep it in view after reducing the width of the menu:

To set a focal point, follow the following steps:
1. Click 'Focal Point' in the background section:

2. Click where you want to set the focal point and then click "Apply Changes."

To see how the background image will appear on various devices, click "Preview" at the top of the presentation editor.
